Leadership Team

Devashish Paul

Devashish Paul founded BluWave-ai in 2017 and has built out one of the world’s premiere renewable energy and transport electrification companies, based in Ottawa, Canada. In his role at BluWave-ai, he has taken AI concepts to live working systems from Asia to Europe to North America, successfully navigating the growth of the company through the critical COVID-19 pandemic, onboarding new customers worldwide and growing the team with an international employee group from 15 different countries. Devashish has taken the company to multi-million dollar SaaS revenue and has been an inventor on several of the company’s patents.

Prior to BluWave-ai, Devashish had an extensive career in the semiconductor industry focused on supercomputing, artificial intelligence, and networking. During his 20+ years in the tech world, Devashish has led successful innovations in a diversity of markets at Canadian start-ups, Toronto Stock Exchange-listed, and Silicon Valley public companies. He has grown businesses in Europe, Asia, and North American from the startup level to $110M annual revenue. In industry leadership roles, he ran the High Performance Computing Group in the Open Compute Project (started by Facebook) to create open industry computing platforms for low-latency workloads. Devashish also served as an advisory board member for the CERN Open Lab. Devashish earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Royal Military College followed by a Masters in Electrical Engineering (Digital Signal Processing) and an MBA in Marketing, both from the University of Ottawa. He is a veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force.

Devashish is a life-long cyclist and nature enthusiast using human powered energy for personal transportation to explore the world. He is a 31-time Ironman triathlon finisher, has coached masters athletes to 100+ finishes, was a coach for 14 years with the Kanata Nordic Ski Club, and has raced for Canada in 10 world championships. He is also a world traveler who loves connecting with people in diverse cultures both for personal interests and driving BluWave-ai's goal to become the premier global renewable energy AI company.

SENIOR DIRECTOR, AI & ENGINEERING

Thomas Triplet

Dr. Thomas Triplet is the Senior Director of AI and Platform, leading the engineering team to address some of the global challenges towards a more sustainable future, and build innovative solutions to accelerate the transition to clean and renewable energies.

Thomas has 15+ years of experience in web-scale deployment of AI-based systems, knowledge representation, predictive analytics of spatiotemporal big-data and SaaS applications. He has published 40+ patent applications, scientific publications and book chapters, and his contributions have been rewarded by many distinctions. Prior to joining BluWave-ai, Thomas led globally distributed teams of engineers and data scientists at Ciena to deliver innovative AI-based applications for the intelligent optimization of telecommunication networks to Fortune1000 enterprises. Prior to joining Ciena, Thomas was adjunct professor at Polytechnique Montreal and consultant in data-science at the Computer Research Institute of Montreal. He also managed for 8 years as CEO the e-commerce and design company he founded in France.

Thomas completed a Ph.D. in Machine Learning and Bioinformatics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (USA), and a M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Ecole Nationale Superieure d'Ingenieurs de Caen (France).

Craig Downing

DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT MARKETING

Craig Downing has over 20 years experience in technology companies in a wide range of areas including, specialized and high-performance computing devices for consumer, communication and industrial applications, hardware device security and software security, machine vision, graphics and image processing.

Craig’s roles in these companies included technical team management, managing integration projects with customers, international business development, technical product marketing and product management defining, bringing to market and managing the lifecycle of systems, software and electronic device products.

Brandon Rohan Paul

MANAGER OF CORPORATE MARKETING

Brandon Paul completed his degree in marketing at the University of Ottawa in 2018. While at school, he also took electives in Roman history and 19th-21st century world history. Brandon continues his education on the world by trying to learn something new everyday, avidly reading texts and listening to podcasts on history, politics, and society. Brandon likes to contemplate what he's learned on his morning run.

Hubert Sugeng

Hubert Sugeng drives the product development at BluWave-ai. He’s been working in engineering for over 16 years, with recent leadership roles delivering product with AI-based KodaCloud, and Bridgewater Systems (acquired by Amdocs).

Hubert has led the development of performant, scalable, and fault-tolerant products running in national level mobile carriers, as well as cloud SaaS with IoT devices. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Systems Engineering from Carleton University.

Aside from building cool stuff at BluWave-ai, Hubert loves to game, play badminton, and is very curious about how everything works from tech, to macro-economics, to astronomy.

Tim Guttormson

TECHNICAL SALES LEAD

Tim Guttormson has 18 years of experience bringing advanced software solutions to customers solving complex problems in the world of integrated circuit design. He's passionate about communicating the benefits of the BluWave-ai solution to the world, while applying his field engineering experience to build a team in that area for the company as it grows.

In his spare time, Tim enjoys training for triathlons, travelling and spending time with family.

Aneta Wilga

Aneta leads the People & Culture department of BluWave-ai. Prior to starting with BluWave-ai, Aneta built a successful career in the health and fitness industry where she worked with clients in achieving their fitness goals. Throughout her 10 years in the industry, she developed an interest in working within the intricacies of people management. She recently pivoted careers and now pursues her interests within the field of human resources.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading books, keeping up with her Powerlifting training, and completing odd projects around the house.

Aneta has completed her Bachelor of Commerce; Concentration in Finance at Carleton University.

PROJECT MANAGER

Megan Grossman

Megan is a project manager with 15+ years of experience delivering Software System Integration solutions to enterprise and Fortune 500 customers including defence, tech, finance, medical, governmental, and non-profit organizations. Megan has a BEng in Aerospace Electronics and Systems Engineering from Carleton University.

In her spare time she enjoys knitting (experimental string), theoretical physics (string theory).

DIRECTOR OF EV EVERYWHERE COMMERCIALIZATION

Richard Waterhouse

Richard Waterhouse is charged with the Business Development of BluWave-ai key product EV-Everywhere. He is an engineer from the UK with a love for all technology but has spent his career on the business side of leading Canadian companies.

The ability to build high functioning teams has allowed Richard to be successful in launching products and services to a diverse customer base, building and maintaining enduring business relationships resulting in sustained growth.

In addition to focusing on BluWave-ai, Richard collects and repairs watches and over Covid became a sourdough baker.

Muhammad manages the Finance, Accounting, and Human Resources operations at BluWave-ai. He started his career in Corporate Banking, as a Management Trainee, and quickly moved up to the role of Relationship Management.

Muhammad has completed a BSc. in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering and has recently completed an MBA from Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa.

He is passionate about finance, business ethics, and holistic fitness. In his spare time, he likes to have coffee chats, read books on the economy and human psychology, and practice calisthenics.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

Alex Linchieh

Alex Linchieh leads the Product Management Team at BluWave-ai. He previously held lead engineering, planning, and project management roles within the energy, consulting, and defense industries. Alex's interest is focused at the intersection between engineering and business, particularly regarding the future of smart cities and the implications of AI on society. Alex has a BSc. In Materials Engineering (Nanotechnology minor) from the University of Alberta and holds the Professional Engineering (P. Eng.) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations. Beyond his professional life, he enjoys photography, hiking, sports cars, powerlifting, and Formula 1.
