BluWave-ai Solutions for EV Fleets and Grid Optimization Recognized Worldwide with Multiple Awards

The Canadian Company is Leading the Global Energy Transition

OTTAWA, Canada – December 15, 2021

Artificial intelligence for clean energy, an idea from BluWave-ai that started four years ago, is now driving the global energy transition. With deployments across the globe, from Summerside PEI to Mumbai, from conception to application, the ideas are now in action. The world is taking notice with BluWave-ai receiving multiple awards over the year in the fields of EV fleet and grid optimization.

In March, BluWave-ai received the Indian Smart Grid Forum (ISGF) Diamond Award in the category of Utility Distribution, highlighting work with Tata Power in the city of Mumbai. This award recognizes the innovation and benefits of BluWave-ai’s method for forecasting energy loads at Tata Power, optimizing the city-wide energy dispatch.

“We are working with BluWave-ai to operationalize Artificial Intelligence in our day to day power distribution in Mumbai,” said Sanjay Banga, President of T & D and Tata Power, “Working with AI enabled system improvements via cloud computing in real-time operations enhances our baseline systems resulting in higher operational efficiency and accuracy.”

For the third consecutive year, BluWave-ai made the top one hundred global cleantech companies for the Start-Up Energy Transition Awards. This year the award was for the BluWave-ai EV Fleet Orchestrator that optimizes how energy is used in electric fleets.

“We are very excited to have BluWave-ai return as part of our group of global change makers,” said Andreas Kuhlmann, Chief Executive at DENA, “Since first being selected for SET 100 in 2019, BluWave-ai secured $7M of financing, created 12 USPTO patent filings, and is operational on multiple continents. Their grid optimization platform is now scaling into electric fleets to become an essential component in the future of the grid.”

In November, BluWave-ai was selected in the Deloitte 2021 Technology Fast 50 program, in the “Companies-to-Watch” category.

“The recognition from Deloitte encapsulates the totality of the last four years of our work at the intersection of artificial intelligence renewable energy.” said Devashish Paul, CEO and Founder of BluWave-ai, “This award shows real world proof of impacting climate through data and smart decisions making more of the investments in wind and solar energy.”

“SDTC is proud to see the BluWave-ai solution for smart grid technology is now live and operational.” said Ziyad Rahme, SDTC’s Vice President, Investments. “As an early funder of BluWave-ai, we are pleased to see this growing company gaining international recognition for their innovative technology.”

The accomplishments in the first handful of deployments are setting the stage for a true transformation of how the world interacts with energy. These awards highlight how relevant the BluWave-ai solution is to solving key issues around climate change. This is truly the beginning.
