BluWave-ai Hosts Global Energy Transition Summit on Post-COVID Strategies

Ottawa, august 10, 2020

Canadian company and Invest Ottawa co-host panel of experts from NGOs, development banks, venture capital firms, government, and start-up innovators on the state of cleantech after the pandemic

BluWave-ai is bringing together a cross-section of global clean energy ecosystem leaders to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on all layers of innovation. During this action-packed one-hour summit, the audience will hear experts’ views on the impact of the pandemic on technical innovation challenges, managing teams distributed around the world, fundraising, making investments, and determining return-on-investment (ROI) in an uncertain economic climate with various capital deployment risks.

This free online summit will be moderated by Devashish Paul, CEO of BluWave-ai, with introductions by Michael Tremblay, President of Invest Ottawa, and feature the following panelists:

"Invest Ottawa is proud to have collaborated with BluWave-ai since its inception in 2017, and excited to co-host this summit with them," said Michael Tremblay, CEO of Invest Ottawa and Bayview Yards. "Innovations in the energy transition and decarbonization of the economy are key to our post-pandemic world so we’re excited to help drive this global opportunity."

Andreas Kuhlman, CEO of the German Energy Agency dena, commented "BluWave-ai is one of our top three finalists in the 2020 SET100 awards for digital energy systems, out of almost 600 global start-up applicants. The company is an excellent example of an innovator who needs a full ecosystem to positively affect the energy transformation. As such the discussion at this Global Energy Transition Summit is perfectly timed, leading into the last quarter of 2020 and the unknown economic impacts on cleantech innovation."

“Driving innovation during the best of times is challenging in cleantech,” said Claude Vachet, Managing Partner of Cycle Capital. “With the challenges of COVID-19, an additional headwind is being experienced by our industry, but through this many prospects are emerging and cleantech funds like us are actively looking for investment opportunities.”

"We are excited to be part of this cleantech innovator ecosystem as the world emerges from the pandemic challenges," said Devashish Paul, CEO and Founder of BluWave-ai. "BluWave-ai provides the unique perspective of a start-up whose artificial intelligence (AI) deployments were able to rapidly react, with greater than 99% accuracy, to dramatic changes in global electricity usage in distribution grids".

The BluWave-ai Global Energy Transition Summit is a free one-hour webinar, starting at 6:00pm GMT/1:00pm EDT/10:00 am PDT on 20 Aug 2020.
